Attorney Craig Stevenson is a partner at Swanson Sweet LLP and practices in creditors’ rights, business bankruptcy, and litigation. Craig earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School and has since built a career navigating the intricacies of bankruptcy law across multiple chapters and jurisdictions.
With a deep commitment to representing debtors and creditors, Craig’s expertise spans foreclosures, receiverships, workouts, and state and federal litigation. His commitment to the community makes him a trusted advocate for businesses and individuals, helping them navigate the most complex and challenging financial situations.
As debtor’s counsel, Craig has assisted many types of businesses, including dealerships, manufacturing companies, commercial and residential rental properties, restaurants, hotels, and farms – as well as individuals – in Chapters 11 and 12. He has handled many complex cases for individuals under Chapters 7 and 13. He also represents secured and unsecured creditors in both bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy matters.
In addition to his practice, Craig’s leadership roles and educational contributions underscore his standing as a prominent figure in the field of bankruptcy law. Craig’s frequent speaking engagements at seminars and conferences hosted by the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Business Institute, along with his role as the Secretary of the Wisconsin State Bar’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Creditors’ Rights Section, and his past positions as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Western District of Wisconsin Bankruptcy Bar, all highlight his influence and expertise in the field.
